Quad Lock Honda remains resilient in its pursuit of stronger results as the Supercross season enters its final stretch. This weekend at Gillette Stadium, the team will see Shane McElrath determined to bounce back, Joey Savatgy return from injury, and unfortunately, Carson Mumford sidelined as he recovers from his mishap in Birmingham.

McElrath is coming off his most disappointing round of the season, finishing 14th in Seattle. Despite the result, he found a silver lining in his raw pace—posting the fastest time in Sector 3 of the track.

“It’s crazy—I was quicker than race winner’s, nearly a second faster than others in just one sector. But I overthought a lot of the rest of the track,” McElrath admitted. “The positive takeaway is that speed like that isn’t luck—it’s in there. This week has been about building on that. When you show that kind of pace, expectations rise. We’re in the final stretch now, and I know I need to make every race count.”

Joey Savatgy was beginning to hit his stride in the series before a major crash derailed his momentum. The incident resulted in a punctured lung and broken ribs, forcing him to the sidelines. Now, he’s back and focused on salvaging the season with a top-10 overall finish still in sight.

“I’m not going to overthink it—it happened, and yeah, it was a bummer because everything was starting to feel good,” Savatgy said. “This weekend, I’ll take each session as it comes and try to find my rhythm quickly. I’m not sure where I’ll finish, but we’ve set some clear goals, and I’ll be doing everything I can to meet them.”

Carson Mumford, who suffered an injury in Birmingham, will remain out of action this weekend. Further updates on his recovery timeline will be shared next week.

Round 13 of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship takes place tomorrow at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
