Round 14 of the AMA Supercross Championship in Cleveland delivered another breakthrough moment for the Quad Lock Honda Team, proving that persistence and belief continue to drive results at the highest level.

For the second consecutive weekend, all four Quad Lock Honda riders progressed through to the 450 main event, a significant achievement in itself. Leading the charge was Joey Savatgy, who delivered an impressive fifth overall finish against one of the deepest and most competitive fields in Supercross.

With Cleveland hosting its first Supercross in over 30 years, the return was anything but straightforward. Intermittent rain created challenging and unpredictable track conditions, placing a premium on adaptability, consistency, and execution across the Triple Crown format.

Team Principal Martin Davalos highlighted both the collective effort and Savatgy’s standout performance:

“No other team has four riders in the 450 main event. That says a lot about the strength of our program. All of our riders finished inside the top 15 overall, and Joey was exceptional. He’s finally getting consistent time on the bike during the week, and it’s showing. A fifth overall in this field is a credit to him and the entire team.”

Rider Results & Reactions

Joey Savatgy – 5th Overall
“It was a solid night. The speed is there, but the starts let me down. The team and I have some ideas, and we’ll focus on improving that this week. We need to be better and more consistent off the gate.”

Shane McElrath – 10th Overall
“I proved to myself and the team that I can be up there. Finishing fifth in the final race shows the pace is there. The inconsistency is something I need to fix, but overall it was a solid weekend.”

Dean Wilson – 12th Overall
“I could be disappointed, but I need to keep things in perspective. It’s been a year since I’ve raced in this field. The speed is there, but race fitness will come with more gate drops. We’re pushing for a top ten, and we’ve still got three rounds to get there.”

Christian Craig – 13th Overall
“I’m frustrated for both myself and the team. Training and testing show we’re capable of much more, but it’s not coming together on race day. We’ll keep working and chasing that potential.”

With four riders consistently in the main event and growing momentum across the program, Quad Lock Honda continues to strengthen its presence in the Supercross paddock.
