Charli Cannon claimed her first overall AMA Women’s Motocross round victory. Brodie Connolly finished as high as fifth in a race during his first season racing in the United States. Alex Larwood broke into the top 10 in his first-ever appearance in America, while Kayd Kingsford showed impressive speed throughout the Combines, they are just a few “firsts” to mention.
Joey Savatgy won a heat race and secured a fourth overall in Philadelphia in stacked premier class in . Christian Craig demonstrated that he still has the speed to compete inside the top 10, as did Shane McElrath who has a season high 6th in Philadelphia. Dean Wilson joined the team for the final five rounds of Supercross and showed that his speed and talent have not faded, despite his racing program taking him in a number of different directions, he still bagged three top ten finishes.
Across the season, Quad Lock Honda has competed in 38 races spanning America, the UK, Brazil and Costa Rica. The team has been busy, and with racing still to come around the world, the 2026 season is far from over.
SMX FINAL — RIDGEDALE, MISSOURI
The SMX Final at Ridgedale, Missouri, was set against a spectacular backdrop. The picturesque Bass Pro Shops facility was full of life, with fans, families and race teams filling the venue to the rafters as the final round of the SMX World Championship delivered an electric atmosphere.
Charli Cannon carried the momentum from her dominant victory in the final round of the WMX Championship into the weekend, taking control of Friday’s free practice before qualifying fastest in the second qualifying session on Saturday.
When the gate dropped, Cannon found herself in a compromising position after coming together with another rider, forcing her to fight her way back from fourth and challenge for the lead.
The fast and fierce young Cannon continued to push, setting multiple fastest laps and closing in on the leader. On the final lap, she made a hard attempt to take the position, but couldn’t make the pass stick, ultimately finishing second overall in what many considered the most exciting race of the night.
“I am frustrated. Coming together with the rider made my night tougher than it needed to be, and I will learn from that. The positive is that over the past few months my speed has been much better and has steadily improved. It’s another amazing season, with many highs and lots of lessons learnt, and there are many more lessons still to learn. I look forward to next year.”
— Charli Cannon

CHRISTIAN CRAIG
Craig finished the SMX Playoffs in 16th position, a result he wasn’t satisfied with, but one he believes has provided a clear direction for the work ahead.
“There were some competitive races, races where I was competing for top 10s, with some of the best in the sport and we know we have work to do and what we need to work on. The work starts now. We have some off-season races and championships, and the team and I will look to use them to work on the areas I am lacking in.”
— Christian Craig

JOEY SAVATGY
Savatgy started the SMX Playoffs strongly, finishing sixth in the opening round, but the final two rounds were heavily affected by injury and ultimately didn’t unfold the way he had hoped.
“Could’ve, would’ve, hindsight is great, but the crash at the first SMX caused real problems to my shoulder, and in the final round I hit my head, which didn’t help anything. Overall, it was a decent year, a heat race win, a top four and multiple top fives. The team did a great job. We were equal to any other team that lined up.”
— Joey Savatgy
For Quad Lock Honda, the season has been about more than individual results. It has been about building a program, giving riders opportunities, competing across multiple championships and continuing to establish the team on an international stage.
There have been highs, setbacks, lessons and plenty of hard work, but there have also been firsts that will become part of the team’s history as they prepare for some big changes ahead.
The team will soon announce new rider riders and looks forward to building on what has been achieved in 2026 as the next chapter begins.
